Having almost 20 years of experience Mr. Mohamed Emam is registered as a patent attorney with the Egyptian Industrial Department. Also he is a member of the AEPPI ((Association Égyptien Pour La Protection de Propriété Intellectuel).
Past experiences
Being a Senior Associate at Ragaii El-Dekki & Partners since December 2005 till March 2017, Mr. Emam gained good experience and took responsibilities of the following:
- Has taken responsibilities for many International Enterprises namely: AstraZeneca, MerzPharma, Hanmi Pharmaceuticals and more (for patents portfolios) and Church & Dwight Co., Inc., Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Etisalat and more (for trademarks portfolios).
Emam has formerly taken responsibilities for patent translation and achieved more than 250 patents translation. - Having over than fifteen years of practice in IP field Emam has great experiences and is well equipped with the following:
- Preparation and following up trademarks and patents applications from filing till-up registration.
- Translating and reporting Official Actions (Trademarks & Patents).
- Preparation of all legal memo (appeals, oppositions and counterstatements) for both patents and trademarks legal actions.
- Following up deadlines and reminders with clients/applicants.
- Well equipped for communications and answering queries of clients and applicants.
- Well equipped for patents translation especially bio-chemical (English/Arabic).
- The ability for negotiation and discussion with patents examiners.
- Attending appeal/ opposition hearing sessions in front of Committee of Appeals (trademarks & patents).
- He is Proficient in Arabic, English and French.
Recently Mr. Emam is the founder and managing Director of M.E.R.A. IP.
On March 2017 M.E.R.A. IP has been established in Alexandria to provide full intellectual property services mainly in Egypt and beyond in many other African, Middle Eastern, Gulf & European Countries through a wide range of associates and liaison offices.
In order meet and cover all our clients’ requirements Mr. Emam established a new branch for M.E.R.A. IP in Dubai Silicon Oasis – UAE.
